What is VINBLIK?
VINBLIK is a wine cellar app for collectors. It tracks every bottle you own and gives you real insight into your collection: the producers, regions and grapes behind it. It also helps you buy, sell and discover wines through your friends' cellars and the wider community, with partner shops to buy new.
Is VINBLIK free?
Yes. You can create a cellar and track your wines for free. Some features may be added later, but tracking your collection is free to start.
Is VINBLIK a good CellarTracker alternative?
Many collectors come to VINBLIK from CellarTracker for a more modern app, deeper insight into their collection, and the ability to buy, sell and discover wines through friends and the community. You can import your CellarTracker export directly, so switching takes minutes.
Can I import my existing cellar?
Yes. Import a CSV or Excel spreadsheet, or a CellarTracker export, and VINBLIK matches your wines to its catalogue automatically.
Does VINBLIK tell me when to drink a wine?
For some regions, appellations and vintages we show a rough drinking-window estimate. It's only a guide, and you can override it or set your own window per bottle.
Is there an iPhone app?
The web app works in any browser today, and a native iOS app is coming to the App Store.
Is my cellar private?
Yes. Every cellar is private by default. You decide what to share, and you can make a cellar public with a single toggle.
Can I buy and sell wine through VINBLIK?
Yes. Collectors list bottles from their own cellars, and you can request or buy them and arrange a handover between you. You can also follow links to partner shops to buy new bottles on their own sites.
What languages does VINBLIK support?
VINBLIK is available in English and Danish, and works the same on the web and in the app.
How do I get started?
Create a free account and add your first bottle, or import a spreadsheet or CellarTracker export. You'll see your collection straight away.
Does VINBLIK tell me about vintage quality?
Yes. Each region page in Deep Dive shows a vintage quality strip — a scrollable bar chart scoring each year from 0 to 100 based on editorial consensus. Tap any bar to see the growing-season weather that shaped that vintage.
Where do the vintage quality scores come from?
Vintage scores are set editorially by our team based on established critical consensus for each region. They are not generated by an algorithm. The weather data behind each vintage comes from ERA5 historical reanalysis (Open-Meteo, CC BY 4.0).
Can I see how the current vintage is developing?
Yes. For regions with enough data, Deep Dive shows a live read on the current growing season — spring rainfall, summer heat accumulation, heat-spike days and a preliminary signal (promising, mixed or concerning) compared to historical averages.
What is Deep Dive?
Deep Dive is a collection of AI-assisted region and grape guides, each with climate context, producer directories, classic wines, price tiers and vintage quality history. It's designed to help you understand what's behind the wines in your cellar and discover what to drink or buy next.
